Aug 29, 2017, the Renault-Nissan Alliance issued an announcement that they had signed an agreement with Dongfeng Motor Corporation (DFM) to set up a new joint venture for joint R&D and production of electric vehicles in China. According to the announcement, the new joint venture, named eGT NEW ENERGY AUTOMOTIVE CO., LTD.
